Permissions reference

Permissions control the extent to which members of a specific role have access to resources and functionality in Imply Lumi.

The following is a list of available permissions, organized by the entities they apply to:

Users​

  • AdministerUsers: Add and remove users, administer user access, and update user details.
  • ReadUsers: View user information and account details.

Roles​

  • AdministerRoles: Create, update, and delete custom roles.
  • ReadRoles: View roles and their assigned permissions.

IAM keys​

  • AdministerIAMKeys: Create IAM keys. Update IAM key properties. Delete any IAM key.
  • ManageIAMKeys: Create IAM keys. Update and delete only the IAM keys the user created.

Events​

  • AddEvents: Send events to Lumi through ingestion integrations. Transform events with pipelines.
  • ReadEvents: View and search events in Lumi and integrated applications, including Splunk® federated search.
  • ReadUsage: View metrics about platform usage, such as data ingestion, retention, and query activity.

Billing​

  • AdministerBilling: View and manage billing information, payment methods, and invoices.
