Polaris preview features

Imply Polaris includes preview features at different lifecycle stages:

• Alpha: Alpha features have passed testing but can include limitations, bugs, and performance issues. You can use them to preview a new feature and provide feedback about the feature to Imply. We often enable these features to early adopters to solve specific issues. Alpha features are not supported for use in production environments unless explicitly agreed with Imply.
  Alpha features might change expected Polaris behavior. They are subject to significant changes or removal without prior notice.

• Beta: Beta features might have functional and performance limitations but are generally stable for the use cases for which they are designed. Beta features are supported for use in production environments. We recommend that you test them first in a testing or staging environment and read the Limitations section of the feature documentation to understand potential pitfalls. When you feel comfortable using the feature, enable it in production.

If a preview feature might impact existing workloads due to behavior changes, Imply must enable it for you. This is noted in the feature documentation—contact Imply support to enable the feature.
